GMO Free (302)

 It is time to stop for a second and consider that genetically modified organisms (GMO) are not a god idea for humans to be playing around with. Nature had created a planet where everything is in a perfect balance, and it had been like that for millions of years. But now, the human race came up with the idea of altering the genetic code of some plants and animals so they can adapt no new toxic pesticides or grow faster than they normally would.  I recently discovered that a new genetically modified salmon is being presented to the FDA for its approval.  The creators of such abomination are saying that there is no chance of it mixing with the real salmons. But that is the same allegation they used when the genetically modified corn was introduced to the USA, and now because of cross pollination, all corn species had been infected and is almost impossible to find GMO free corn in our country anymore. We all should be more vigilant on what is going on with our food supply and not assume that the food industry had our best interest. Those companies had influenced and corrupted the governmental agencies so much that GMO in America is not mandatory, so the general population have no idea that what they are feeding to their children had been created in a laboratory and sprayed with all sorts of pesticides and fungicides.  In Europe all GMO products have to be properly labeled in order to enter the market, and in countries like New Zealand, Germany and Austria there are bans on the sale and cultivation and sale of GMOs. Let’s all think about the future generations and how they are going to have to pay the consequences of what we are doing to our planet today.
